Star Wars: The Old Republic

Started playing SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) more these days.

I used to play WoW (World of Warcraft) quite a bit, but stopped about 8 months ago, when most of my guildies left the game.  Around the same time, I started dabble into SWTOR, but only recently I started playing it very seriously.

I like the story-based progression of SWTOR.  I guess I was always big on the story.  Even with WoW, I was more interested in learning the lore behind the quests than the actual quests themselves.  I read WoWWiki religiously, not for the tips, but for the story it captured.  I was always a little bit bummed that I wasn’t able to enjoy the story better because I was always grouped and didn’t want to waste other’s time.

SWTOR is actually very solo-able.  I don’t group much. Instead, I take my time and really enjoying the game.  My main is a female Sith Warrior.  Somehow I find the Empire side more intriguing.

Didn’t expect it, but I actually love the romance plots.  At first I thought it was so hokey to do romance in game.  My first toon was actually a Sith Sorcerer and I did not do romance at all.  However, the SW romance story with Malavai Quinn was so entertaining I continued and now I’m wondering what I have missed with other toons.

BIOWARE had said that they expected people to reroll.  Looking at all the different advanced classes, the different male/female romance plots, dark/light side choices, I’m inclined to agree.

I think this game is going to keep me busy for quite some time.
